This is a teacher's book for the pre-intermediate level of the Cambridge Foreign Language Study course. It contains texts, listening materials, and activities designed to help learners consolidate their vocabulary and build their language skills in preparation for work in the language classroom. The book includes in-class exercises in practical grammar with teachers' notes at the back of each chapter, covering all sections introduced in Unit 1 "Speaking", introducing new techniques with examples from BBC News 24.
